Strange facts!!!

• In 1870 in Vienna, Austria inventor Seigfried Marcus put a liquid fuelled internal combustion engine on a simple handcart which made him the 1^st person to propel an automobile by means of gasoline. This car today is known as the “first marcus car”. In 1883 he secured a German patent for low voltage ignition system of the magneto type.
   In 1888/89 he developed his 2^nd car with rotating brush carburetor which made his car very innovative.During his lifetime he was honoured as the originator of motorcar but his history was all erased by Nazi’s during 2^nd world war because he was of jewish descent.
   The Nazi propaganda office ordered his work to be destroyed and his name be removed in future cars and public memorials removed and instead credit was given to Karl Benz the founder of world famous brand Mercedes Benz.

• Even though Karl benz was granted patent for his automobile in 1886. 

But started to produce production car only after his wife Bertha Benz had proved long distance trip in 1888 along with her children and did the return trip too and that too horseless in Germany and hence showed the reliability and ease of use in daily use.

• Turn of 20^th century showcased cars with tillers i.e rowers that is used in boat for steering purposes. 

• Volvo has invented the ABS, EBS & Airbags but they haven’t made that copyright out of that and still gives those inventions for free to be used by anyone without their permission. (social service)
